Ravi Babu after the direction of Avunu in 2012 now back with Laddu Babu. The combination of Ravi Babu and Naresh was great success in 2002 and has changed the surname of Naresh as Allari Naresh, now casted in lead role as Laddu Babu in this film. Actress Bhumika Chawla and Ravi Babu have a great combination in Anasuya (2007) which gave a hit, now she is casted next to Naresh in class role and Shamna Kasim well known as Poorna also stands next to Naresh in mass role. Actor Kota Srinivasa Rao casted as father of Naresh as Mushti Kittaiya and Giri Babu in supporting role.
The story is about fatness of Allari Naresh of age 28 years with weight of 268 and waist of 78 as Laddu Babu which shows totally different in the first look poster. in past rajendra prasad similarly acted in kobbaribondam movie in which his face was looking alike him but in the film laddu babu, actor allari naresh have no similarity of his face. It is been said that the amazing and variety looks of the actor has been done by the expert make up artist from london.
Film original Genre Comedy and most of the Shooting done in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, India. First look poster released on 23 Dec 2013 and trailer released on 10 Jan 2014. Makers of film reported that film is schedule to release on valentine's day special 14 February 2014.
